Greetings,
I am writing to you to announce the launching of my new web site, fletcherboland.com. This web site intends to market my artwork to a larger audience and provide publicity for new work. Please take a peak, as I am eager to receive feedback!
PHOTOGRAPHS
Most of the images shown in the portfolios on my web site were made around New England within the last three years. Select photographs in the Mountain Gallery are from several trips I have made to the American west.
Kinsman, 2006 [below] is one of my favorite new images and was taken in the White Mountains of New Hampshire during an early October storm.
This photograph embodies the brooding forces of wilderness so prevalent in the mountains and it alludes to the historical legacy of the region. The black and white medium conveys this relationship perfectly. For me, the apprehensive weather and “gritty” look are a nod to the romantic notion of a “simpler, unspoiled time.”
EXHIBITIONS
My next show is at the Wheeler Center in Concord, MA from April 6th through May 4th 2007. If you are in the Boston Area, I encourage you to visit.
