
Winner of both national and local awards, Fletcher is an accomplished visual artist and works in a variety of mediums. He studied sculpture and photography at Wheaton College in Norton, MA. The steel sculpture entitled The Dance, 2005 is on permanent display in the Mars Fine Arts Center.
One of Fletcher’s earliest works, a teapot Untitled, 2001 won the Boston Globe’s Gold Key Award. Nationally, it won a Gold Award from the Alliance for Young Artists and was exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery in Washington D.C.
Fletcher entered 10 black and white photographs into the Resonance group exhibition at the Beard Gallery in 2005. Many of his most recent images were shown at the Mountain + Coastal Images exhibition in May, 2007 at the Harvey Wheeler Center. His work has also been featured in a number of student shows and he has published several catalogue entries on 19th century painting in The Realist Impulse.
